QP-Breast®
Discover QP-Breast

Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in women and remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide, representing a major and growing public health challenge. As incidence continues to rise, early and accurate detection is critical to improving patient outcomes.
Breast MRI has become an essential tool, offering higher sensitivity for the detection and characterization of suspicious lesions. At the same time, breast MRI interpretation remains complex, with high reporting variability. As a result, many suspicious findings ultimately prove to be benign. In fact, up to 4 out of 5 biopsied breast lesions are not cancer*, leading to unnecessary procedures, increased healthcare costs, and added stress for patients.
QP-Breast® is an AI-powered solution designed to support radiologists in breast MRI interpretation. By automatically detecting, segmenting, and characterizing suspicious lesions, QP-Breast® streamlines workflows, enhances diagnostic confidence, and improves consistency. This enables faster, more accurate assessments, ultimately contributing to better clinical decision-making and improved patient care.

Advanced AI‑powered capabilities for breast MR

QP-Breast® automatically identifies and highlights breast regions suspicious for breast cancer, assigning each a malignancy likelihood category.

Based on exact lesion segmentation, QP-Breast® extracts location, volume and dimensions.

Biopsy used as ground truth. Valid for any clinically indicated MRI, both screening and diagnostic.

Seamless integration into PACS systems allowing a fully automated workflow. All information is provided in an easy and user-friendly report.
Turning advanced AI into measurable clinical impact
QP-Breast® empowers radiologists to improve diagnostic accuracy, reduce variability, and optimize workflow efficiency—supporting better outcomes across breast cancer detection and diagnosis.

How does it work?

Clinical foundations of QP‑Breast
HOSPITAL 12 DE OCTUBRE
Aim: Classify NME using diffusion and perfusion images to be able to differentiate between benign (BPE) / malignant (NME) lesions.
Dataset: 94 patients.

HOSPITAL PROVINCIAL DE CASTELLÓN
Aim: Validate a model for NACT response for breast cancer using MRI.
Dataset: 182 patients.

AVI & AYUNTAMIENTO DE VALENCIA
Aim: Accelerate the development of QP-Breast, including breast anatomy segmentation and characterization, breast cancer lesion detection, segmentation, malignancy characterization, and neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) response prediction capabilities, by providing funding to establish partnerships with national hospitals for access to breast MRI scans and associated clinical data.
AVI: Breast lesion detection, segmentation and malignancy characterization
Ayuntamiento: Breast anatomy segmentation and characterization
Dataset: 1,335 patients from 8 hospitals.

RADIOVAL
Aim: Clinical validation of AI models for breast cancer and monitoring of their performance overtime. Examples: prediction of response to NAC Treatment & 3 years survival prediction.

CHAIMELEON
Aim: Data and MRI images standardization using harmonization algorithms.

MEDSIR
Aim: Imaging vendor and quality check for Breast images.
IRYCIS
Aim: Identify if imaging biomarkers can be useful to predict response to neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer.

Our mission doesn’t stop at MRI. Partnering with Vara to provide a comprehensive suite across mammography and MRI

Quibim has partnered with Vara to bring one of Europe’s most advanced breast cancer screening AI solutions to Spain. Vara’s platform already analyzes 50% of mammograms in Germany’s national screening program, where it has been shown to increase cancer detection by 16.7% and reduce radiologists’ workload by 60%. Combined with our QP-Breast® MRI solution, this collaboration advances a comprehensive breast care ecosystem in Spain — spanning everything from screening to diagnosis.
Beyond what’s possible today – the future of AI‑powered breast MRI
The future vision of QP-Breast® by Quibim aims to advance AI-powered breast MRI through multiple planned capabilities:
- Surgical Planning & 3D Visualization to support precise surgical decision-making.
- Therapy Response Evaluation & Prediction using AI-driven biomarkers for personalized, neoadjuvant treatment strategies.
- AI-Based Image Quality Assessment & Standardization ensuring reliable, consistent MRI data across centers and vendors.
